Bloodhound is a medium sized dog breed.They are classified as scent hounds that were bred to hunt deer.However these days Bloodhounds are one of the most largely kept hound dogs as pets at home.They are affectionate and loving dogs but unfortunately are among the Top 10 shortest living dog breeds.They have an average lifespan of 9-11 years.
